Dear GES Families,
We are pleased to share with you that we are one week away from reopening our school! Beginning Monday, March 1, 2021, parents who elected for their child to attend in-person instruction may return to campus five days a week. Below, you will find the in-person bell schedule. We have sent out a school mailing today that includes your child’s assigned in-person teacher for the remainder of the school year, a welcome letter from his/her teacher and other in-person safety information. Please check your mail this week and continue to stay informed via Parent Square regarding bussing information and teacher updates.
Similarly, parents of students who opted to continue with distance learning will also have live classes daily and a dedicated distance learning teacher. Below you will find the new distance learning schedule beginning Monday, March 1, 2021. We have sent out a school mailing today that includes your child’s assigned Distance Learning teacher, your child’s assigned live class group (1 or 2) for the remainder of the school year and a welcome letter from his/her teacher. Please check your mail this week and continue to stay informed via Parent Square regarding information about student materials/packets and teacher updates.
SCHEDULE FOR IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION
On-campus supervision begins at 7:20AM. Breakfast served from 7:20-7:40AM.
Grab ‘N Go Lunch at dismissal on Mondays and Minimum Days
It is expected that the following safety procedures are followed by the student/parent for in-person instruction:
Complete the Parent Square Wellness Screening daily before going to school or getting on the school bus.
Wear a face mask or face shield with drape at all times, except when eating and during strenuous PE activities.
Follow all social distancing protocols and safety procedures. Watch the GES ASB Safety Video
Students must bring their Chromebook and charger to school every day. Chromebook must be charged before arriving at school.

SCHEDULE FOR STUDENTS CONTINUING WITH DISTANCE LEARNING
During this time, your child is expected to attend their assigned daily classes, have all learning materials with them, and complete all assignments. Our teachers will continue to provide the most robust instruction and provide regular communication and feedback.
Thank you for going above and beyond to support your child during this difficult time. Please continue taking care of each other and yourselves as we face this health crisis together. We know there are many unknowns ahead of us, but we will do whatever it takes to keep our school community safe, healthy, and engaged during this time.
